Thermo-Gel has been effectively used on wildland fires, tire fires, structure fires, prescribed burns, as home and structure protection, you name it. It’s more effective than foam and way better than water alone.

The Thermo-Gel kit attaches to a garden hose to provide a water gel coating to any surface including shrubs and trees. It is non-toxic, environmentally friendly and sunlight degradable.

The kit consists of 4 one-gallon containers of Class A fire retardant gel, a simple instruction sheet, and a unique garden hose applicator that automatically mixes hose water with the gel in a fire retardant water gel solution. One gallon covers up to 1,000 square feet…roof, eaves, siding, windows, porch or deck, grass, shrubs, trees, even your vehicle in the driveway.

In a test performed with a California fire department, half of a structure was sprayed with Class A foam, the other half with Thermo-Gel, then ignited with Chevron training fuel. Following 10 minutes of burning, the foamed half was lost, the side sprayed with Thermo-Gel was fully intact and undamaged. Pretty amazing.

Shipping carton weight: 40 pounds. Shelf life: 3 years, if properly stored. (Shaking vigorously several times a year will contribute to this prolonged shelf life.) That's not much more than $100/yr for the best fire protection you can buy.
